Tell us about your staircase and situation. No commitment, no pressure — just a conversation.

  2. Free in-home evaluation

Our CAPS-certified specialist visits your home, measures your staircase, and reviews your funding options at no charge.

  3. Quote & authorization

We provide a written quote and handle any prior authorization paperwork if funding programs apply to your situation.

  4. Professional installation

Our licensed CT technicians install your lift and walk you through operation. We don't leave until you're confident.

  5. Ongoing support

We stay with you after installation. Call us at (203) 576-8642 and we'll come to you. We're local — we don't outsource service.

We'll help you explore every option

Funding availability varies by individual situation. We review your options at no charge during your free evaluation.

CT Medicaid Programs

Some CT Medicaid programs may cover stairlifts depending on your eligibility and documentation. We work with these programs regularly and can help determine if you may qualify.

CT Waiver Programs

Various CT waiver programs may provide funding for home accessibility equipment. Eligibility depends on your program enrollment. We coordinate directly with your case manager.

Private Pay & Rental

Purchase outright or rent with a short-term minimum. Rental can convert to purchase at any time. We'll walk you through all the numbers at your evaluation.

CareCredit Financing

We accept CareCredit healthcare financing for flexible payment options. Ask us about current promotional terms when you call or submit a form.

An honest note

We'll tell you if a stairlift isn't the right answer.

Sometimes a stairlift is exactly what a family needs. Sometimes a wheelchair ramp, a patient lift, or a home modification is a better fit. We'll tell you which — even if it means a smaller sale for us.

We've been making that call honestly since 1931. It's the only way we've kept families coming back for four generations.

If you're unsure whether a stairlift is right for your situation, just ask. There's no pressure here — only the right answer for your home and your family.

Questions we hear every day

Does insurance cover stairlifts?
Funding availability depends on your individual situation and program enrollment. Some CT Medicaid and waiver programs may cover stairlifts. We review your options at no charge during your free evaluation.
How much does a stairlift cost?
Pricing depends on your staircase type and configuration. We provide a written quote at your free in-home evaluation with no obligation to proceed.
How long does installation take?
Most straight stairlift installations are completed in 2–4 hours. Same-week installation is often available. Curved stairlifts take longer due to custom rail manufacturing.
Can I rent a stairlift instead of buying?
Yes — rental is available on straight stairlift models with a short-term minimum. Rentals can convert to purchase at any time. Curved stairlifts are purchase-only because they're custom-fabricated for your staircase.
My staircase has a curve or a landing. Can you still help?
Absolutely. We install the Access BDD Flow X Curved Stairlift, individually measured and manufactured for your exact staircase. An in-home evaluation is required for an accurate quote.
Will a stairlift damage my stairs or walls?
Stairlift rails mount to the stair treads, not the wall. Mounting points are small and can be patched when the lift is removed.
What if I live in a rental home or can't do a permanent installation?
The Genesis Mobile Stairlift requires no permanent installation. Battery-powered, approximately 40 flights per charge. Ask us about availability and pricing.
How do I know which stairlift is right for me?
That's exactly what our free in-home evaluation is for. Our CAPS-certified specialist will visit your home, measure your staircase, and recommend the right lift. No charge, no obligation. Just Call Collins — (203) 576-8642.
