For many families, equipment weight is an important part of choosing what travels comfortably. Each Aero model uses a lightweight frame designed with carrying, folding and transport in mind.
If the car is the obstacle
At 11.5 lb, the AeroCarbon is the lightest model in this collection. The AeroWalk weighs less than 15 lb. Both fold for transport and storage.
If you're the one doing the lifting
The AeroFly wheelchair frame is 13.3 lb once the rear wheels come off, and the transport chair frame is 13 lb. Both have quick-release rear axles and seat-integrated carry handles.
If you want to keep pushing yourself
The AeroFly Ultra-Lite Wheelchair has 22-inch rear wheels, so the person in the chair can self-propel. It also ships with both attendant brakes and wheel locks — independent use and assisted use, same chair.

When an Aero Isn't the Answer.
The Aero collection solves one problem extremely well: weight. If the hardest part of your day is lifting, carrying or loading your equipment, this is the right shelf to be looking at.
But weight isn't everyone's problem. If standing up out of a chair is the struggle, a lift chair will do more for you than any rollator. If the bathroom is where you feel unsteady, professionally placed grab bars matter more than what your walker is made of. And if the stairs have become the barrier, no amount of carbon fiber solves that — a stair lift does. We would rather point you to the right answer than sell you a lighter version of the wrong one.

What is the difference between the AeroFly Wheelchair and the AeroFly Transport Chair?
The wheelchair has 22-inch rear wheels, so the person sitting in it can push themselves. It weighs 13.3 lb as a frame and 19 lb with the rear wheels on, and it includes both attendant brakes and wheel locks.
The transport chair has smaller rear wheels and is designed for someone else to push. That makes it lighter and narrower — 13 lb as a frame, 17 lb with the wheels on — and it ships standard with attendant brakes. If the person using it will never self-propel, the transport chair is the lighter, simpler choice.
Should I choose the AeroWalk or the AeroCarbon rollator?
The AeroCarbon is the lighter of the two at 11.5 lb, with a carbon fiber frame rated to 330 lb and a handle range of 31.7" to 37.6". The AeroWalk is aluminum, under 15 lb, and offers a tall handle option reaching 37.3" along with a removable storage bag and three color choices.
If the lightest possible frame matters most, the AeroCarbon is the lighter of the two. If the removable storage bag and the tall-frame option matter more, the AeroWalk offers both.
What weight capacities does Drive Medical publish?

Drive Medical publishes a limited lifetime frame warranty on the AeroFly wheelchair and the AeroFly transport chair, with wearable parts covered for 60 days. The AeroCarbon rollator carries a limited lifetime warranty. Warranty terms are set by the manufacturer.
